April Review | Ashburn, Virginia Lifestyle Family Photography

Well, I'm a week late on my April Recap, but here we go! April was a pretty uneventful month for us (just the way my family likes it!) so most of these photos are just of our small, mundane moments.

Charlie got her first bike, a red balance bike handed down from our awesome neighbors, and she is obsessed. If she's not outside riding it, she's asking to go outside and ride it!

One gorgeous evening at sunset I took Charlie to this little bridge right down the street from our house and let her explore:

As part of an online class, we were challenged to create our dream photoshoot, so Charlie and I dressed up in our pretty dresses and headed out to this field on a windy day in hopes of taking mama & me photos. My remote shutter malfunctioned so I dressed up for nothing, but I was able to get these photos of Charlie and they are some of my favorites of her ever!

As a personal project (and creative new way to torture Charlie and make sure her Photographer's Child Syndrome is going strong), I participated in A Day In The Life project this month, something that has been on my bucket list for years. We documented our entire day from wake-up to bedtime by taking at least one photo an hour. It was a challenge at times because honestly we don't have the most exciting lives, but that's the point of this project: to find the beauty in our everyday and to document our ordinary, boring moments.

Are you interested in scheduling your family, childhood, maternity, or newborn session? I would love to capture your family photos the way I capture my own, and am currently booking sessions for Spring and Summer of 2018, so send me a note and let's chat!
